Is Caregiving a Job or a Relationship?

And this is kind of the ultimate question that I settled on. To our caregivers, is caregiving a job or is it a relationship?

That seems like an easy question doesn’t it? But how you answer that question has different implications as to how you might serve as a caregiver.

So I’m going to just do a little unofficial poll right now in this room. I’m going to ask you that question. To our caregivers what do you think? Do our caregivers think that caregiving is a job or is it a relationship? Raise your hand if you think that they would say it’s a relationship.
